A couple of years ago I bought a lovely large crock pot which was idea when there was 3 of us but less ideal now and has therefore gone into hibernation.

Given my change in employment status and that I will potentially actually have a whole hour for lunch I thought I'd start making some meals I could bag up/heat up and have post walk at work.

I've wandered around pinterest and most recipes there are American but still interesting! I've discovered I can make bread in it!

So anyone got some fabulous recipes to try?

Watching with interest. I'm afraid the most adventurous I've got is chicken casserole.

EB I've done Oxtail stew and beef stew!
I once did a whole chicken which was OK but think I used too much liquid - now if I was thinking I would have used this to make soup!
apparently I can do my gammon joint in there (we have one most weeks for sarnies)
oh and cooked my Christmas puds in there too which was great

The chilli con carne is really good and I’m making the Spanish chicken this weekend.

And this is delicious.

I’ve found cooking veggie-rich dishes doesn’t work well (other than squash), they go pulpy rather than cook down.

Nothing apart from casseroles, stews or Bolognese I'm afraid. Still very handy when you're out all day and you only have to do the veg when you come home.

My wife tried to see if pasta could be cooked in the slow cooker. Big mistake as it liquidised.
