Sushi.
Turned the oven on instead of the grill. 🤦🏻‍♀️
No wonder the bacon didn’t cook.

Spent some time cleaning the charging pins on my watch before working out that the reason it wasn’t charging was that the mains cable had come out of the charger.

If I'm out and about and need to remember something, I send myself a text. You've guessed it, I'm at home reading the text and now have no clue what it's about!

Oscar the Grouch
Perhaps you could send a reply asking what it is about?

Or perhaps a reply saying "who is this?"

You're quite right of course, Dio. The number wouldn't come up.

One from a few days ago. I'm a member of an electric bike hire scheme. The bikes are unlocked with a small fob, like an entry fob. I keep this in a small bowl in my bedroom between uses, otherwise I'd be bound to lose it.

I'm usually quite diligent about this, but one day I was sat in another room, the fob was still in my pocket, so I put it out on a table. The next day, a mate came round and suggested a walk. Whilst I was wandering round getting ready, I noticed the fob and thought "I'll put that in the right place, right now."

I then wandered back and forth, and in the bedroom noticed the coffee I'd been holding when my mate arrived, which I must have laid down to put my shoes on.
Picked it up and went to the living room when I heard a strange clacking noise. Looking down ... yes, I'd carefully dropped my fob into the cup of coffee, rather than the bowl it had been sitting next to.

I finished off leg 5 of the Robin Hood Way yesterday, took off my rucksack to get my thin jacket and bus pass out. Rummaged around for my wallet in the bottom of the bag, with 4 peanut butter sandwiches, 6 plastic bags, one glove, map, newspaper and guidebook. But where was my jacket? My keys are in it, mild panic. Well i can get the bus back to where i started as that was where i took the jacket off. I put everything else back in the bag and resigned myself to a nervous wait before i would hopefully be reunited with it.

Then i found it wedged between my knees, it was the first thing I'd taken out and that seemed the best place to put it whilst i looked for the wallet.

I have *never* done that.

About This Thread

Maintained by ChrisHB
This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
