Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

A Work colleague of mine once went to drive home to find his car gone and reported it stolen. He then got the bus home to find his car outside his flat and realised he hadn’t driven to work that day.

Bazoaxe - I once walked home from work to find my car missing and "stolen". I was getting myself into a right state when I remembered that I had driven to work that morning. Consequently "walk of shame" back to work to get car, hoping that no-one would see me :-)

[In Leicester there is a multistorey car park that consists of two interleaved spirals, with the entrance to one spiral at one end and to the second spiral at the other end. There's no connection between the two. However there's just one set of pedestrian stairs. If you park your car on level 2 (red) but on return inadvertently enter the car park through the level 2 (blue) door, you can spend all day walking up and down the spiral but you'll never find your car :) ]

Not my best day!
I couldn’t work out why the volume control on my iPad wasn’t working. Eventually it dawned on me that I needed the TV remote to adjust the TV volume!

[TR - there's one of those in Tamworth. My F-I-L was convinced his car had been stolen, until I suggested he might have parked it on the 'numbered' side rather than the 'alphabet' side!].

Made myself beans on toast forgetting to heat the beans.

Decided that cold beans were better than cold toast, but on beginning to eat, I doubted the correctness of that choice.

Tried to phone Mum three times and wondered why her phone was engaged so long on a Monday morning - and then noticed from the display I'd called my own phone...

About This Thread

Maintained by ChrisHB
This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
