Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Since the nights started drawing in, I’ve been looking all over for my decent bike lights, which usually just live in the bike pannier and hadn’t been needed since February.
So that’s about 3 weeks until it occurred to me to look in the pockets of my warm cycling jacket.

Went out to the car with the wrong car key and made myself jump when the other one clicked and bleeped open.

Doh Dio...we don't have that problem, though if I bump into one of hubby's motorbikes in the garage, its alarm may sometimes go off, scaring the crap out of me!

[The really stupid things was I was going out to my car to get stuff from it to put in the one Mrs D usually drives (as mine is broken) and yet only took the keys to the second car with me]

I've fallen off my bike twice in the past two days, both times when trying to dismount on the wrong side of a camber. I'm going to have to add 'check camber' to the ways I decide where I'd like to stop.

I did that once Chris, it hurts like hell. My foot didn't want to go high enough over the crossbar, lost balance and fell backwards flat onto my back. Glad I was wearing a helmet that day as my head did bang the ground quite hard.

About This Thread

This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
