I’ve not for many years owned a kettle which is heated on the hob, but twice in the last few days, after filling the cordless kettle, I’ve put it on the hob instead on the kettle dock. Fortunately the hob wasn’t alight!

"At 7pm, turn on the oven to 200 deg. c.," she said.
"No problem," I said.

Failed. But at least the grill got nice and hot.

Ha! Reminds me of the time I accidentally grilled a pizza. It wasn't very edible.

My sister's boyfriend brought a beautiful vegetable pie for our Christmas dinner the first year he joined us, unfortunately my mum grilled it instead of baking it. The relationship never really recovered.

I once fried a pizza because the mobile home we had rented did not have an oven or grill and I had only brought pizzas for the first night after a long day travelling. Here to tell you pizzas should not be fried :)

(Well, you just fried it wrongly Fleecy. Pizzas need to be deep-fried.)

About This Thread

Maintained by ChrisHB
This morning I went to charge my kindle and instead found myself trying to charge my coffee mug. It was my third coffee of the day as well, clearly not strong enough!

=============

I was just drying my hair after a shower, I switched the hairdryer on and suddenly the bedroom was plunged into darkness, the hairdryer wasn't working either. Great, the electrics have just tripped out.

I find a torch, go to the fuse box but nothing has tripped - turns out I pressed the light switch instead of the hairdryer 'on' button.
