I was towards the end of the field, so watch all you good runners disappear in the distance is a tad alarming at first, but once you get into it, it's fine.

Goggles Gus, goggles. I have run in Oakley ski goggles in a blizzard in the Pentlands and could see perfectly. That's my recommendation! :-) G

Don't think I've ever run in ski goggles, but have used wrap round clear cycling glasses, but didn't have them with me that night.........

I fancy trying the Trossachs trails, maybe next year. I'm still in a slump :-(

Who here did the Aviemore Half? I was camping in Glenmore campsite and went out for a run and the signs were still up, looks like a great route - whats it like to run it?

Didn't run it this year, but have ran it before.

A few miles of trail at the start, with one hill near Loch Morlich, then slight downhill road all the way to Aviemore.

Overall net downhill, and a fast course as long as not a strong west wind ( and normally measures slightly short ! )

National XC relays at Cumbernauld on Sat were awesome. I was woeful, but this doesn't matter. Andrew Butchart, Callum Hawkins, Olympians, international level athletes and all the result of us... Bril! I loved how Andrew Butchart and Callum Hawkins posed with the kids for pics, signed autographs and AB let rest of his team go ahead onto podium ahead of him, even though he was head and shoulders faster than anyone else in the team. Bril. :-) G
