Wine carafes and decanters don't get used here either. Not sure that they ever will. Perhaps we should just give them away.

OH will not tolerate keeping even useful stuff, so it's rarely a problem for us.

We got rid of some cut glass decanters that had been presents at my first wedding when we moved house, on the grounds that we aren't the sort of people who will ever use decanters (we never were, but my mother was quite Hyacinth Bucket and she controlled the wedding presents) and I don't even like cut glass or "crystal" much but we got a load of it (Mum again).

We laughed at the time about XH's parents' chosen guests all giving us pairs of multi-coloured hand towels, but the towels got used, unlike the cut glass, and outlasted the brown-tinted glass pots and pans and the electric carving knife.

We have wine glasses and crockery, and a decanter, that only get used for special occasions - again because we don't want to put them in the dishwasher and are too lazy to wash them up - but they do make a special thing seem more special because of it.
I might just have to get more creative about what counts as a special occasion - for example today is the anniversary of Sam's first 100 mile ultra or tomorrow is Labour day, internationally and a public holiday for me. May 10th is my bestie's birthday.

I just have to get Sam on board, but I'm sure if I'm planning to do all the work he'll be easy enough to convince.

Partly motivated by this thread, I'm wearing a dress rather than jeans and a t-shirt today :D

I genuinely don't own any sweatpants.

I have running kit, a rugby club tracksuit, one pair of yoga pants, one or two pairs of pyjamas, and a fluffy onesie. Only the onesie and the club tracksuit have pockets (essential for daily use, to my mind), but the tracksuit isn't very comfy for lounging around in and the onesie is a bit impractical (and warm).

Jeans are my default setting, for a long time my personal motto was that if you can't do a thing in jeans it's probably not worth doing.

Can't get sweatpants or joggers to fit, otherwise I would love some. Ditto jeans. I have two very uncomfortable and not flattering pairs and I'm not wearing them now when I have no need to. Ditto all my work clothes.

A splash of Eau Dynamisante this morning for a short turbo training session (was about to get rid of the TT prior to lockdown....!). Miller Harris Fleur Oriental for post shower -sadly discontinued so was 'saving' it a bit...No more!
Still wearing sports tights most of the time during the day - no change there - I have loads ....if you ever want to know about a particular brand, I've probably got a pair (2XU are my faves...)
