Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Nice looking jeans but ... how much?

My most comfortable ones are Tesco cheapies bought probably over 10 years ago. I'm 5'9", just under 12 stone, 34 waist and 30 leg. I might be able to get into 32 waist.

I recently chucked a pair of White Stuff jeans in the charity bag as they just didn't fit me properly, Fetch. I only wore them twice. If I'd know I would've sent them to you.

I have found the Firetrap jeans that they sell in SportsDirect to be a good fit for a runner. They have a good selection of sizes and not too expensive. I'm wearing a pair right now.

The WhiteStuff jeans/trousers are pretty good too, but I tend to reserve those for days when I have in-person meetings as they're a bit posher.

I tend to buy my jeans from Matalan as they do short leg ones!

Mr W has cyclist thighs & short legs. For smart trousers we get M&S or Uniqlo with a pleat front. Casual trousers, nothing.
I know eL Bee found Trespass shorts to be kind on the thigh.

Sigh
I'm 34" waist 29" leg - I can get chinos from M&S that are fine (and low cost, £25) Here's a link, currently all showing out of stock but gives you an idea of what they offer when back in stock: marksandspencer.com

Last jeans have been from Sainsbury's.

Being a short arse at 5' tall getting trousers/jeans to fit is an absolute nightmare. It's not just a case of turning up a hem but the whole proportions of the garment is wrong so knee is around mid calf on me so much too baggy!

eL Bee! is currently living in Rohan trousers. He has an athletic shape and expensive taste.

I have a similar problem to DQ, and a few ancient pairs of Per Una petite length jeans to which I am clinging.

Got something to say?

About This Thread

Maintained by Fitz
Do any other Fetchies have trouble finding jeans, chinos, etc., to fit their - ahem - athletic legs?

I am 5'11'' and about 12 stones. I wear 32 waist 34 leg in most brands. I am finding it very difficult to find kecks that fit waist and length without being so tight in the calves that they stick to me when I sit down and therefore stay at half-mast when I stand up again!

I'm a dad-jean age so I don't want skinny low-waist styles anyway, but even "regular" fit cause...
