I think I have still an electric knife that was a wedding gift even though I no longer have the husband - no point in keeping him for best lol

I've just found this thread :-)

It's reminded me that I've not worn earrings since we went into lockdown and probably should so that the holes don't close up. Ditto perfume - I'll go and put some on shortly.

I have very few clothes that I keep only for best as I'm a pretty casual dresser (at least as much as I can get away with at work) but I'm sure I have a few things that I either need to wear or get rid of.

No special glasses, cutlery or crockery. I prised a box of cut glass water glasses and champagne flutes out of OH's hands when we moved and put them in the charity shop pile. We've never used them and never will - my tastes are far plainer. The only things we don't use on a regular basis are the bowls and dishes that we bought in Portugal some years ago. They come out for parties but don't get much everyday use. I'd like to change that. They make me smile and the colours will be welcome in these grey times.

Paula so true about ear rings
I haven't worn any for a while as I was swimming loads and worried about losing them!

Haha sitting here with ear rings in but only in the bottoms holes so just tested out the other holes.

I’m not too bad, - do hair and makeup every work day and have a decent set of smart work clothes but wouldn’t change into jeans to lounge about or do my cleaning in - I change into joggers and a running T-shirt. Weekends can be a hit or a miss depending (obvs not just now) what we are doing.

You've just reminded me that I have a second piercing in one ear only, which I had forgotten about. Just put an earring in it with no problem at all, whilst the main holes I have issues with if I leave them for a couple of months. Weird. I did use some Protolind spray on the earring.

I had a box of crystal glasses that my daughter bought as a pressie which lived in a box for ten years. When I downsized to my smaller house I put them in the kitchen cupboard and use them every day, for juice, milk, water. I used to wear perfume whenever I was going out but haven’t since lockdown, that may change tomorrow! I like to smell nice

If you like perfume, take one of your favourites and wear it tomorrow - I guarantee that it will make you feel just that little bit better!

(right, I'm off to bed with a crystal tumbler of water...:-) )
