Aquarius - a shorts wearer in December .. a postie surely? I did forget to mention my cup of camomile tea whilst reading in bed. I mentioned I was going to try sticking to just one glass of wine a week .. but one appeared with my dinner on Wed and Fri this week. The gout medication seems to be going okay - no sign of any gout symptoms since I started it last Saturday. Hope you are able to run okay with the cold still hanging around - no sure-fire cures known about here I'm afraid.

I'm surely 1 glass of wine is a bit dramatic Wtnmel. Surely 2-3 won't hurt. Aquarius I saw some pictures from XC with you featuring. Sorry I missed you again, but glad I gave it a go. Some really squelchy mud sections which almost tucked my shoes off. Great fun.

OO61 - Lucky the squelchy mud didn't take your shoe off or you'd have had some very muddy socks. I'm sure you're right about the little amount of wine I have .. I'm just running a bit scared of doing anything to bring back the toe/foot problems. So keeping off the alcohol as much as possible. Apart from a can my beer with the Sunday roast I cook, which is de rigeur and my 'treat' for giving Margaret a rest from cooking. When I looked for the Yorkshire puddings in the freezer, there were none there. So I had to leaf through Margaret's cookery books to remind me what to do, to make my own. They turned out better than expected. But rose so much in the oven, there's half of it left over. So there could be Yorkshire pudding and jam as another little treat later ..

Those puddings sound excellent Wtnmel. Ours were from the freezer, the basic supermarket variety. But it was a lovely roast lunch, just what I fancied. I also had a can if beer to wash it down.
