Looks like I’m out. If I make a miraculous recovery overnight I may do the half Otherwise we are camping on the racecourse so I shall pop onto the greenway to support Bit gutted but in 15 years of running I’ve never had to miss a race before so not bad going |

Commiserations, Jenni-far-far. I'm also out, sadly. My calf is still not strong enough for contemplating the 13.1 miles tomorrow, I'm disappointed to not be getting to the start line but avoiding serious injury is more important right now. Good luck to everyone racing tomorrow. I've a feeling it'll be perfect conditions for a few Peebees!

That's a shame Jenni. Hope you feel better soon. Ness, hope the calf sorts itself out soon. My only aim tomorrow is to complete. I did get to the chiropractor last week and my back does feel easier. But I haven't done a long run since I went so will have to wait till tomorrow to find out how it is. I'm hopeful it'll last longer than 10miles but 50:50 re it behaving for 26 miles. Sometimes takes 2-3 treatments to sort it out when it misbehaves. For those spe taking ill be wearing my red Fetch cap, black Fetch top and dragon skort. |
