Just had a look at the TR250 to see what the excitement was about, I like the sound of all the food, pity you have to run so far between checkpoints to get it!!!
Was looking at the 3 day option of this, well actually day 2 and 3 cos I cant do Friday. Trying to work out if I can actually get home on the Sunday night though, how slow shoud I expect to be on day 2, like how hard is the terrain? Would 8 hours be enough if I am normally a 4 hour (she says hopefully) marathon runner?

I did the Ridgeway 40 in 7 hours ten minutes. Terrain't not too bad. I think you're maybe a bit faster than me though hellen.

Anna, I am not faster than you!! I havnt done sub 4 yet, you were miles ahead at the Charnwood marathon!!!
Day 2 starts at Watlington and day 3 at Wantage. Is that the same part as the 40 you did ? Is it all pretty much the same difficulty wise?

The 40 runs in the opposite direction to the Ridgeway 85 and the three day jobby and would probably cover some of day 2 and all off day 3. I don't remember their being any really nasty hills though the trek out of Goring would probably fall towards the end of day 2 so that could be a pain. I think that the organisers of the three day run where laying on a bus to Swindon station so it should be fairly easy to get back from there.

Thanks, yes, they are putting on a bus but I then need to get accross london and up to the midlands, it looks do-able though, if I do day 3 in 8 hours which judging by what has been said I ought to, then I can get home and be in bed before I turn into a pumpkin!!! Am a bit unsure how my legs will be as I have never done a double before!! I suppose even if I walk half of it 8 hours should be OK as that is just over 3miles per hour (unless it is really hilly but it sounds like it isnt hidious!)

I hope it goes well for all of you. Where are the checkpoints in the Newbury/Wantage area? I hope to be about on saturday night/Sunday morning to give you all a cheer.
