My plan this year is to drop NJ off at the start, leave him to his own devices, take a nap and meet up with him later at Goring. This year I will be supporting more closely through the night.

Just back from 10 days hols, so had an enforced taper.
Excited about it. Reading about the TR250 in Trailrunner may be partly to blame

Ooh, is trailrunner the magazine of the TRA? I haven't joined them, but it might be sensible. If there's a magazine involved, that could clinch it for me - I love reading about trail running!
Does anyone get the American trail running magazine? It usually finds it's way to the bigger bookshop chains in London. Oh, actually, that might be what you were talking about flanker?

Sorry flanker - I took the American one to read on the train to Dorset, but finished it and binned it as I had to carry everything I had with me on the Doddle (no baggage transport).
I joined the LDWA earlier this year. Would it make sense to join the TRA too, or should I wait till next year?
