If the travelling time isn't too bad it's a good chance to get an idea of terrain, test kit, shoes etc

If it helps, you can stay in the YHA at the finish in Streatley on the Friday and/or Saturday nights and get a bus to the start from there on the Saturday morning. I'm gonna stay there on the Friday night but get the train home on the Saturday to get a good night's sleep before Halstead. It's also pretty cheap... |
