Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Week 4 done for Pam and week 6 for Cheekys dad. How's it been for the pair of you? Have you managed to complete the last 2 weeks?

Have you managed to restart GemmaLouise?

You still thinking about having another go Lesley C?

I have been doing some intervals and hill work. Running the streets in the evenings as it now dark ☹️. Will just see how it goes over the winter.

My long runs were always faster than in the plan, and these were hilly routes. Don't think I could have done it any slower.

Week 4 completed for me. Managed to slow the long run down by going out stupidly early to get squares in WSW. Now that's finished i can concentrate more on this goal. 😎

Well done on the hill work Lesley. The only incline I have around here is over the river.

Well done Pam two targets in one.

Not yet FF. Once holiday was done had to rest due to a bad back. Was hoping to do my test 5k at the weekend, but had isolation pending the results of a covid test instead 😔

Thankfully it was negative, so once I'm over whatever this is that's not covid, I will be back.

Well done everyone!

Got to the end of week 6 with no Jokers so far, thanks FF. I’m sure I’d be finding it easier if I could manage not to bunch my effort runs so much! Not sure if I’m feeling much improvement in the way of things feeling easier, even though my mileage has reduced from what I was doing before. Hopefully that’s just because of the improved quality rather than me getting slower! 😂

I wondered at times if it was actually working CD. When I ran my tempo and intervals there was only a day in between them. Hopefully the efforts are having a beneficial effect but give yourself a few days gentle running after completing the 10 weeks before your 5k, hopefully the rest would have done some good.

Yes I was thinking about that. No point in going into the final 5k knackered!

It's really hard to find a flat route around here unless you run on the old railway line path, not so good in the dark.

I would definitely have a few days off before completing the final 5k.
