Sorry SPR I missed the comment as I sped through the thread yesterday.

I think Ganna maxing the first gravel section and then Remco not quite having the confidence caused the gap. I can well imaging him having the heebie-jeebies going downhill at speed on tar for a few months yet, let alone gravel, until he gets his full confidence back for racing speeds.

I meant to post this link last week but forgot. It's the Ronde last year, behind the scenes, and well worth an hour and eight minutes of your time.

The look on Marion Rousse' face when Lou-lou hot the moto and she heard her man crying in pain, wow.

The excitement in the Alpecin car once the winner was announced and the look that WvA gave MvdP as the winner was hugged to death by his partner.

Hang on the end for the discussion by the Sporza commentators, well worth it imho.

Dull stage, but good to see the perennial second place man get a deserved first, and with a canny bit of wheel hopping.

Cavendish had to quit the Ruta del sol with stomach issues. I note Bennett will be riding the Tour despite leaving DQS it says, so Cav's only Tour hope must be the Vuelta...
