From the article posted by Gus.

"In 2025, ITV is set to broadcast its 25th edition of the Tour de France, after taking over the UK televisual rights from Channel 4 in 2001."

The wiki article on ITV sport suggests live coverage of every stage since 2010, with occasional stages live before that.

Though in those first years, it was likely the footage produced by ASO was limited - flag to flag coverage feels much more recent a creation.

Apologies, you can't vote for those two categories, they are judges only. You can vote in three other categories.

Definitely a curious choice of team for an Olympic gold medallist and world champ. Though obviously not in road racing.

I may not be in touch with the details of the pros he is riding with, but it would be a stretch to see him winning Pro Tour races with that team with the usual array of World Tour teams entering most of them too.

Maybe he just needs a holding team for the next year so he can get back into a top team in the following year. Or perhaps he just wants to really concentrate on MTB etc.

Q36.5 got themselves into some decent races this year (I've been following one of their pros), although not the Grand Tours. I get the feeling that they've got more of a fun set up (qv. EF Education EasyPost) which might be a nice change from Ineos.

This is the team he's been rumoured to be joining all this time so it's not a surprise.

It's basically been coming for a while. It was largely speculated he was off earlier in the year, and then called off, but lots have pointed to a strained relationship for a long time.

More broadly Ineos have been on a downward spiral for a couple of seasons. They still have one of the biggest budgets, but have been losing riders and support staff to other teams. I can see why he wouldn't want to stay in a team that looks like it's imploding, and in Q36.5 he can have an up and coming team built around him. It may not work, but can entirely understand it.
