I think it's just a bit of alliteration to act as a memorable phrase to remind you to check for riders before opening the door. It's not necessarily a direct instruction. It probably has more impact in a country where cycling is the second biggest sport (behind football) and where Remco will be a household name. |

Ok cool, I wondered whether something was lost in translation but that makes sense.

I think there's a visual aid to act as a reminder to do a Dutch reach it said in one of the articles.

I expect there may also be an element of trying to find something that not only matches with the name, but also works in both Dutch and French. Having two (three if you count German) main languages adds to the challenge of trying to create universal catch phrases!

road cc fantasy cycling has finished, financial reasons. We’ve made the decision not to continue road.cc Fantasy Cycling into 2025. We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone that’s been a part of the game over the 12 years it’s been running, especially those of you who have helped with scoring, team transfers and answering questions on the forum. It’s had a good run. We’re sad to be closing the game, but the reality is that it runs at a loss, even with volunteers doing most of the scoring, and is built on a dated codebase that is no longer reliable. It would require significant development to update the game, and in the current commercial climate that’s not something that we can commit to. If you’re interested in taking on the hosting and running of the game then we’re happy to start a conversation about that: you can email us at game@road.cc We’re aware that some people subscribe to road.cc just to play Fantasy Cycling. You can fill out the following form to request a refund of any outstanding subscription: docs.google.com |

Cancelled my Discovery+ subscription. I'll probably subscribe again in time for the classics but with no annual subscription, it doesn't make sense to pay £6.99 a month when not watching (not watched anything since Lombardia but was only £3.49 till January so worth keeping in case I wanted to watch some CX).

Eurosport is no more in the UK from February and if you want to watch cycling via Discovery+ it'll be the TNT £30.99 per month option currently. cyclingweekly.com I guess this means I'll be watching a lot less cycling. |

very disappointing. I wont be subscribing on a point of principle. I note the 6N is also going that way - money over sense for the organisers in both cases |
