That team time trial was interesting. Not sure it was really a time trial in the normal sense. But made for a good race.
Hope the ITT's are a bit more normal though.

Not keen on the many turns on a time trial course, it feels more like a test of cornering skill than consistent power

I have to agree. Not really a test of time trialling ability.
Haven't seen the ITT course yet, but hope it is a bit better for the riders.

Great shot 57.5. It'll be Benoot, as is on a yellow JV Cervelo, and has quite a distinctive style.
Last night's Madison was brilliant. Even if you know the result, probably worth catching the last half.

That makes it more interesting to me at least - otherwise you could just stick them all on a watt bike if it's just about the power.

Tts are a curious thing
We do dual carriage ways with a roundabout at both ends for speed.
We do sporting courses for skill and challenge
However the reality is the cream still rises to the top

I think TTs shouldn't have to be one thing as Larkim suggests.
There's talk that this course doesn't suit Evenepoel so it will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Wasn't that some of the talk about last year's? Despite Ganna being on hour record form, it was technical and staccato enough he couldn't exploit his sustained power.
I agree it's good to mix them up from year to year, so it's about more than drag strip power and aero technology
