Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Just read that G has a ride in the TT tomorrow. Did not have to go to hospital after his crash despite reports that he did. Good news.

Good news and great he has a TT ride. Though doesn't it cover the same ground as the road race? Not sure how they'll all feel about going down that descent again :-(

Sorry not the second loop with the big climbs/descents, but the first one, the Grumari loop. Once for the women and twice for the men
I didn't see that section at the weekend but they're not as brutal as the Vista Chinese

So the TT route goes over the cobbles then?

I think I remember them explaining during commentary on Saturday the strange situation where half the cobbled road had been tarmacked over but the road race wasn't using that half of the road, that the tarmac was for the time trial. So I don't think the TT uses the cobbles.

I believe they can choose to use the cobbles, in that the whole road is available (fences that kept them on them in the RR have been removed), but there is a strip of tarmac layed over them that you'd expect all to ride.
