It looked pretty nasty. We've been to GP Sven Nys a few times, and that bit always looks sketchy, especially if it's wet (which it invariably is) and muddy. There are often near misses, though fortunately not too many spectacular offs. I hope he's fine, though imagine his CX season will end fairly soon either way, with not racing the world's and the classics approaching. |

James Knox on his crash and subsequent disqualification for drafting after staying behind to be evaluated for a concussion check. twitter.com He makes a fair point, especially when 2 years ago an obviously concussed Bardet jumped back on a bike on Le Tour without an evaluation, finished the stage only then to have to leave the next day for concussion I seem to recall? Cyclocross worlds have been awesome and as a rule I love Helen Wyman when she commentates however found her a little patronising about us amateurs. I can assure Helen I am more than aware when I get out the saddle to close a gap due to the other chap having power and am aware how hard I work when I stand up to kick as well. |

An exciting time with the racing kicking off at Paris- Nice, Tirreno Adriatico and with Strade Bianche today. I enjoyed the opening weekend last weekend, but with Roglic turning up at TA and Pogacar and Vingegaard at PN it could be a great few days, and I’m looking forward to it. Shame Roglic isn’t going to TdF though. Let’s hope everyone stays fit and healthy. |

He's looking strong. MVDP being on an off day (or just simply still not fully on it after CX) helps. Someone will need to jump from the first chase group I think. |
