Even if the person arrived "by boat", what does that prove?

I also don't think the EDL care. The person isn't white* so it shows a problem with immigration because if a person that isn't white does something, their failings apply to everyone of that ethnicity. Essentially this is what the politicians and presenters that incite these things are always hinting at and is how they get people riled up.

*I'm sure white immigrants get targeted as well but people of colour end up being the easy target even when they are the policy target. See this Brexit campaign by Farage for example:

Oh, domestic abuse. What a surprise.

(I know he's not a terrorist, but if we could get on top of domestic abuse, then it might prevent other crimes "But the Cinderella status of crimes against women can no longer be tolerated. The connection between private and public violence is now crystal clear ā€“ and the cost of continuing to ignore it is way too high.")

Given the correlation between football results, either positive or negative, and domestic violence, and the overlap between football hooligans and far-right rent-a-mob thugs, I'd tend to agree.

I'd argue he is a terrorist - him and his mob certainly brought terror to the congregation of that mosque & a lot of people in Southport

Cannot disagree there @richmac

Given @DeeGee mentioned football above, I do wonder if this unrest might settle down once the football season starts in a week or 2 time. When so many of those in Southport will no doubt be celebrating Mo Salah. Because the link between football and domestic abuse is long established. Though I concede I might well be up the wrong path here. And Iā€™m far from tarring all with the same brush here.

There has been chatter to that effect on Twix.

It's like the way that a couple of days after school holidays start round here, the kids start setting fire to bins and postboxes and knocking over headstones. Likewise, now the Euros are over, the thugs have had a couple of days without day drinking and punching people and they're restless.

Bless 'em, when the kickball's back on they can go back to looking hard in front of their friends.
