As there is a discussion about the events last night going on, I feel it’s only appropriate to post this and lighten the mood slightly. x.com I’m not making light of the situation, it’s horrific. But it made me chuckle when I saw it. We are dealing with extremists who are causing the trouble. We are also dealing with stupid. |

I've seen his ugly mug (and tracksuit more to the point) on at least 5 videos and photos now. Most of them right in the police's faces. I suspect, he's going to become some poster boy for the outcome of all this. |

The Bradford riots - albeit the sentences later were deemed as too harsh - amounted to more than 600 years of total prison time, the heaviest being 12 years. The Tottenham riots after the police shooting of Mark Duggan were triple that total, although the range of offences was much different, from petty looting to 5 deaths. Frankly, I'd like to see some of those inciting the violence for once sentenced, though they'd just become political prisoners and martyrs. |

If you can stomach it for a few moments I recommend you have a look at Lee Andersons FB - the post about the Southport attacks on police see what people are posting. The gist is that they are convinced there is 2 tier policing where any one who is white and protesting is treated more harshly than people who are not. They are truely mental & quite dangerous |
