I think with Farage the biggest hope is that the MSM deliberately avoid him for the remainder of the campaign with a little touch of recognition on their part that they have a role to play in not giving his poison the oxygen of publicity too much. Possible a forlorn hope!

Not seen it mentioned I don't think, but it's surprised me to see that Corbyn isn't leading in Islington in the polls. Only prompted to look after a sycophantic post by Owen Jones along the lines of "if only Corbyn had actually met every single voter in Islington, he'd be winning because he convinces 100% of the people he meets".

I'm ambivalent about Corbyn winning; no hate for him here as a conscientious MP with a set of values that I would mostly agree with. But equally happy to see a Labour MP in his seat too.

I suspect Praful Nargund would be very near the bottom of the list of MPs for Labour I'd want to see win.

No, insurance isn't betting at all, it's mitigation of risk and potential losses

If anything the insurer is the one betting on the policy holder.

Though I also think Corbyn's losing position, and Owen Jones' words you've posted kind of also prove why he was never necessarily a good leader.

Has anyone seen the chancellor of the exchequer recently? He is MIA from the national campaign.

(In reality it's because he's going to get a kicking by the lib dems next Thurs and is spending every second fighting his constituency.

And now, in Islington, a Labour party member is arrested in relation to the honeypot stuff. That'll spice things up!

That is indeed a potential problem.

I'm not looking forward to the RWP headlines tomorrow.

Badenoch and Tenent in a slanging match.

Tenent not making a particularly well thought out speech and Badenoch weaponising her race and gender.

I don't think Badenoch garners much of a sympathy vote, tbh so I don't think that is a Labour issue. The honeypot stuff might be, but equally as it is in the hands of the police it might be that there is little that the RWP can comment?

Insurance and betting are entirely different. No way am I doing an EW accumulator on my garage burning down.
