Exactly JB. And irrespective of who is in the right or wrong, certain vocal elements of our right-wing media and right-wing ministers will blame only one side.

People have a right to peaceful protest.

It's the peaceful bit I'm slightly worried about.

Still, we shall see.

Well we know who's to blame if it isn't peaceful given there's been weekly protests since the weekend of 14 Oct...

It’s never the time to protest according to some

JB has bought the RW press propaganda I see.

This was in the Orwell book I brought with me on holiday. It seems apt for our current rulers, even though it was written in the early 1940s.

I have a friend who is a Prof specialising in the history of Conservatism. He hates the current crop with a passion. I don't think a lot of them are really Conservative at all in many respects, because they aren't the landed class anymore the way they were in the past, but I'd love to hear his thoughts on the matter.

For me, they've been largely subsumed into a faction which relies on the RW press for support and sustenance and which is given over to the pursuit of cash and the easy wins of populist English nationalism.

Their MPs and their cabinets and their PM picks are crammed with hollow men and women who are very poor quality indeed.

They need a lengthy time in opposition to reflect on their errors and I am hopeful the British public will soon send them on their way there.

Be just our luck if the tories get the boot and then the Orange Imbecile gets in over the pond.

Rowley has been called into an emergency meeting with the PM.

Everything the tories touch turns to shit, but they want to meddle with operational policing decisions now. Thin end of the wedge. Hope Rowley tells them to fuck right off.

He almost certainly will get in if Biden is his opponent, JB is a terrible proposition as a president for the next 4 years (as is Trump, but that won’t matter to the republican base)

America is a failed state anyway
