Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I read it's not going past the Cenotaph. That's good.

If you really want to honour the war dead, act for peace in the Middle East and everywhere else.

Absolutely. Though I think "lest we forget" means difference types of remembrance to different people.

It never was going past the Cenotaph (1 and a half miles away?) and it is on the Saturday not the Sunday?

It was never going past the Cenotaph. It is also happening a couple of hours after 11am.

I was worried it was going to do the classic HPC/Whitehall/
Parliament Square route, so I Googled it. No they aren’t. They really need to avoid the Cenotaph this weekend.

I’m still worried about what’s going to happen though. If it goes badly there is going to be an almighty stink.

Don’t worry, actual fascists will be guarding the Cenotaph, having been dogwhistled by Braverman

It's in the afternoon, 2 hours after the 11am time at the Cenotaph anyway. It doesn't conflict with Armistice / Remembrance day in any way. Nonsense.

Just the gov't and right wingers stirring up more hatred between groups where there was none.

There'll be plenty of ne'er-do-wells doing their best to hijack or sabotage it for their own ends. But that's always the case.

Is no-one here going to say "now is not the time"?

Saturday vs Sunday is a bit of a moot point, surely, as Saturday is 11/11?

Not that I think even with that significance it should make any difference to a perfectly valid and appropriate march.
