"Medicine shortages in the UK are “as bad as they have ever been”, say health experts, as a new report warns that Brexit is a major factor in “severe” supply delays." Another Brexit bonus. |

Conservative deputy chairman Lee Anderson has apologised to a doctor after he made a “misleading” social media post about him. The MP for Ashfield said he wanted to offer his “sincerest apologies” to Tom Dolphin for “any distress caused” by his post on X, formerly known as Twitter. He has agreed to pay £1,870 into the British Medical Association’s (BMA) strike fund to “compensate the upset I may have caused”. What are the odds that he tries to claim this on expenses? |

The Conservative peer Michelle Mone has acknowledged for the first time that she was involved with a company that was awarded government PPE contracts worth £200m during the Covid pandemic. Lady Mone’s husband, Douglas Barrowman, has also acknowledged for the first time that he was involved in the company, PPE Medpro. Lying bastards. Chuck her out of the Lords and arrest them both for corruption. This is exactly what is wrong with the Tories. Self serving shits. |

the scandal of rough sleeping still seems to remain intransigent, resistant to local & national government initiatives. A reasonable sized minority of homeless people will still prefer sleeping outside to being in a shelter or a hostel, perhaps because they don't feel comfortable sleeping indoors, because they don't want to obey rules, because they don't want to be in the same place as some other person or people or for other reasons. If you want to really 'fix' homelessness and rough sleeping, it needs better provision for mental health problems, fixing the dreadful state of the prison and probation system, better services for those with drug and/or alcohol problems, more social workers and so on. I'm not holding my breath. |

At this stage it would be a lot quicker & easier for Sunk to publish a list of his MP's/supporters that are not implicated in frauds, not paying out for slander (or the other one), not being investigated for rape/sexual assault, not appearing on TV instead of doing their jobs and not being demonstrated to have contributed to negligence during COVID I can let him have the post it he'll need |
