Whether the union is 316 years old or 420 (the former of course being factually accurate) is largely irrelevant to the independence debate.
What concerns me more is the dismissal of reputable sources, such as the IFS because it doesn't fit a certain narrative.

Admittedly in a future referendum debate, it would be remiss of the IFS and other such independent, reputable bodies (i.e. not the TPA or tufton st lot) to not update their data and analysis.

And I would as critical of any other political party doing the same.
But the two are separate things. I am told that the SNP does not represent the whole independence movement.
Which is good news for those who support as otherwise it's dead.

Not a single mention about destitution in the UK increasing? No. Not when we can debate an ex-politician passing a driving test.
A pedant would point out Sturgeon is an ex FM and current Politician 
I havent seen the destitution report but will look tonight when I have more time.
I am with you SN at present on embezzlement, that is not something any of us know. However it is pretty clear their has been a lack of transparency and honesty over what happened.

It's important to me - perhaps even more important than whether I see a body such as the IFS as unbiased - to uphold the presumption of innocence as a cornerstone of any civilised society.
