I’m wondering whether Johnson’s devil’s bargain with the Mail is that he refrains from attacking Sunak until the election, after which stage it will be gloves off as he makes his big play again. Ditch Sunak, get a safe seat, return in clouds of glory. Sadly for Bozo they will be in the dumpster anyway after the next election and all he will do is help them thrash around in the mire for years. |

The problem Johnson has, as far as I can make out, is if he ever manages to get elected again is that he has an unserved suspension that could trigger a recall petition. Just because he was to cowardly to face the vote of his peers shouldn't mean the punishment for lying to parliament is quashed, it should hang around his neck like a fucking dead albatross for the rest of his political and unnatural life. He lied about his abhorrent behaviour, getting pissed with his mates after ordering the rest of us to hole up at home and... Well you know. I'm sure this won't have escaped other people, unless I'm entirely wrong and his running away from sanction is an end of it, but I suspect that there is no guidance or law because no one with a shred of decency would be such a cnut as to try to come back after that, hopefully the idea that this will need to be sorted out should put any party off entertaining the idea. I hope |

These people have been running our country for thirteen years. There's a chance they'll bag another five years too if we don't focus on making sure it doesn't happen again

Wow, so on the strength of this kwitters have pretty much denied themselves (and the rest of us) the opportunity to live and work in Europe while simultaneously being exposed to the evil undercutting, sorry I meant hardworking, people they sought to prevent from taking the jobs they didn't want. That's a special kind of dumb. |

According to the Sunday Times, Starmer hates tree huggers. A few days ago I hoped Ed Miliband might be able to talk some sense into him on green policy but I reckon I’ve lost any hope there now.

Eustace's scheme is not without merit. A poor third to proper freedom of movement, but an improvement on the current. A bit rich to say we don't have it because of Teresa May's remainer perspective though, I can't remember arch-brexiters pointing out this flaw.
