Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I wish I'd posted on here after telling K last night that she'd be gone by the weekend! 😂

Only Liz Truss could have made Boris look like a safe(r) pair of hands.

There was caution advised on this thread for under-estimating Truss; misplaced I think!

Is it possible they appoint Boris only for an as yet uncovered scandal from his last stint forces him to resign.

I think he's still under investigation by the privileges committee. So it might not even need be an uncovered scandal.

They want someone who's been criminally sanctioned to be in charge ?

As long as they think that person can win elections it's ok.

According to a piece in the Guardian from about day 0, that's almost an exact quote from the Labour party too.

Not even they (MPs or members) could be dumb enough, coud they?
Unless it was Labour and SNP rigging the electoral process.

The Tory Party rule book makes provision for the solo nomination election. *But* it seems to only be valid in the event that only one candidate is put forward for the first round of nominations (i.e. before the first ballot).

There’s probably going to be a run on the banks. Food banks.
