Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It won't be Wallace or Hunt. Sunak, possibly Mordaunt.

Mordaunt looks the part but nobody knows much about her. Might work in her favour initially, but the public purse is in such a mess she will have to make a lot of "difficult" decisions. Plus, the Tory Party is so devoid of unity, competence and good character that she will have another set of crooks and halfwits around the Cabinet table.

I'd have said Mordaunt, Johnson, or May.

But current prices are something like this

Sunak 1.9
Mordaunt 3.15
Wallace 17
Johnson and Badenoch 34
Hunt 50

And essentially name a price otherwise

Any 'grown up' elder states-people left who could take on a temporary steadying role for, say, 12 months, pending another leadership 6 months (or so) before the next planned election?

12 months? You’ve got to be joking. They have no purpose or mandate, there’s no chance of them coalescing around anyone. Time for an election.

King Charles is going to be close to matching his mother's record of 15 PMs even before the end of this Parliament.

And let's not forget, the chaos of the last 24 hours has been brought on by Ed Miliband. Cameron was right all along..!

So long Truss and thanks for all the.. err. Just so long then.

Sunak next I reckon - mainly because he was runner up and it would raise too many objections if someone else was plucked out of thin air without any process. But anything is possible with these clowns.

If all the Tory MPs who plan to leave office at the next election did a mass resignation that might do the trick. Won’t happen though Or mass suicide, I’m not fussy

Please don't make flippant remarks about suicide.
