I'm not usually one for hyperbole, but if it carries on in this farcical nature then it will surely end in a general election or civil unrest. Can only hope that the Tory MPs with a shred of decency will not stand in the way of the genuine national interest and that a vote will be given to the public.

Ok. So here's what I don't understand. It took 3 months to vote in Truss. Because. that was as fast as they could move. During a cost of living crisis + energy cost crisis. And now with a cost of living crisis+energy cost crisis+govt made financial crisis, it's going to take a week? So they lied when they said over the summer it couldn't be done any faster then... |

Minimum 100 nominations for a candidate? That makes it a maximum of 3 candidates and potentially only rishi hits that target

Apparently only one MP submitted a "letter of confidence" in Truss. Fabricant. The man is a complete spanner. |

Well if 100 MPs get behind Johnson then everyone of them should lose their jobs at the next election.

Wasnt the reason it took so long to appoint Truss basically down to the fact that parliament was on Summer recess and the MPs and party staff didnt want to abandon their holidays to speed it up?
