More fool those MPs to whom he makes those promises, when he may or may not want or be able to deliver on them. Absolutely. On the one hand I can see why my MP is doing it but on the flip side from the echo chamber or minority comments he’s been getting lots of derision about his weak stance and it’ll cost him at the ballot box next time out. His faith to me is utter blind, short term faith and I can see him getting beasted at the next election if he decides to stand again. I suspect he’s hoping for the reward of a cushier seat closer to home Paul A very distinct possibility. Good point. |

You are all way off the mark and lacking an awareness of what’s really important to joe public. The verdict of the Amber Turd Johnny Depp trial is about to be announced.

JRitchie, I never really know what is important to Joe Public until some Conservative MP tells me. They, uniquely, have their fingers on the pulse of the nation, so they can assure me that issues like Partygate are of no significance to the people.

They do like to tell you what to think. They must be well pissed off when the public expresses a different opinion at the ballot box |

Having not really followed either trial but unable to avoid entirely some of the titillations, I can’t work out which was the most bizarrely inane trial, Heard-Depp or Wagatha Christie. All that money on lawyers!

Domestic abuse is not an inane subject one or to be treated as a laughing matter.

Point taken. Like I say, I haven't followed it enough and the bits I have read have been bizarre.
