I see "neoliberal" has been sprinkled around again. Once again without understanding what it means.

I think he gets more and more Trumpy because he is using the Trump populist toolbox:

I'm the only person who understands your problems
Here's some simple solutions to our problems
I'm the only person who can fix them
All those other guys will do you down while I will lift you up

This is not an ideology. It is not a programme. It is merely a toolbox designed to obtain power.

And, then, of course, having persuaded people to lend him their vote to obtain power, he immediately starts to adopt policies which will punish those very same people.

And as his incompetence becomes apparent and his lies unravel and he will twist the institutions of the state and a compliant media every which way in order to stay in power.

If Farage had ever obtained power he would have behaved in the exact same way.

Lot of similarities - not least of which is a craven party of hollow men and women who will go along with his lies and destruction no matter what.

"We're going to lose; we deserve it."

theguardian.com

"New modelling from YouGov has found that of 88 “battleground” constituencies the party took from Labour at the last election, or currently holds with a majority of less than 15 points, just three would remain in Conservative hands. Among those that could swing red is Johnson’s own seat in west London."

If your have a Tory MP, of suggest you write to them the the ministerial code change and tell them they are a nodding dog as Johnson tries to sleep walk them to a dictatorship.

As for Johnson, why wouldn't be go full on Kim Jung? He's do fast down the line it's the only choice for him, as decency isn't in his personality.

It was only a couple of years ago the “experts” were telling us that the tories would never lose another election. Idiots then and idiots now. Things change.

Another lie I've noticed " number ten had been fundamentally reformed since"

Simon Case still has a job. I wonder if the Tories think fundamental reform means the cleaning staff*?

*Probably the hardest working and most honest element in number ten.

I looked at the modelling, although MRP is very volatile and sometimes shows some outrageously poor predictions, this looks quite plausible. I suspect that Lab would not make quite as many gains into the red wall, but may be compensated by doing better in other South West/South East seats.

MY :-) was more about what it will do to turn Tory MPs against the trolley than any real confidence in the accuracy of the modelling.
Might be wishful thinking, but now the dust is settling from Gray's report and people are thinking about his latest lies, manipulations and grotesque attempts at self-preservation, the tide seems to be moving against him again.

Didn't Gove assure we'd had enough of Experts? Depends on the experts I guess

Tories could still win next election. It's called getting rid of Johnson and putting in a moderate.
