"Boris Johnson has today rewritten his own foreword to the ministerial code, removing all reference to honesty, integrity, transparency and accountability. He is downgrading standards and debasing the principles of public life before our very eyes." I can see where this is heading: I'm the King round here and I can do what the fuck I want. |

*Even if* there might be some subtle changes that are warranted in the proposed changes, this is an appallingly badly timed change and if he gets a public beating in the press for this then it's well deserved. Utter contempt for standards in public life. Another electoral asset for Labour though. theguardian.com |

I am aware of landlords who include council tax in rent who have been enjoying £150 free from the govt. I’m a landlord but my Tenant pays the council tax and he pays his power and fuel so I don’t benefit from the government. I don’t benefit at all as my OH own this house so anything goes to him. |

In fact by the time I pay the leasing company to manage it, pay tax for the income and pay for running repairs I’m hardly able going to able to retire on it.

I was referring to landlords who include council tax in rent ( at the very lower end of the market eg small bedsits rent often includes some bills)

Steady drip drip of letters going in. I would not be surprised if a few letters had been slipped in without the MP concerned declaring it. I doubt they will be enough but a fella can dream, cain't he. |

Building momentum ahead of the by-elections? Lose Tivvy and Wakefield and that’s vulnerability on two fronts which may be casus belli for enough MPs |

This ministerial code thing. Surely he isn't going to claim that if he is proven to have lied then under the new code he doesn't have to resign anymore? I can see that one blowing up in his face, the narcissistic muppet.

Good point about the by elections. Can't remember when they are but Sue Gray's report, whilst flunking it on the ABBA party smoking gun, won't have done anything to repair his reputation as a lying get. I will be interested to see whether she gets called before the inquiry to spill on how she has been played throughout this whole business. |
