Blimey, what a marked difference between Sturgeon and Swinney who is delivering todays Scottish Government update on Coronavirus.

Wooden delivery and eyes down reading his script throughout - even when commenting on Scotlands win last night.

If only Swinney was the leader, the clamour for Independence would be significantly reduced.

Is that the same Swinney who led the SNP for a few years in between the two Salmond reigns? If so, I don't recall him making much of an impact as leader then...

yeah. he got binned after the 2003 election after failing to make any headway at all. he always comes across as an accountant, which isn't the type of 'inspiring' leader a nationalist party needs...

Still think he's fine giving a Coronavirus briefing. Factual, helpful, empathetic. You don't need to be inspiring to help the country through a crisis. Imho! :-) G
