I wonder if Cummings was in any way involved with the leaking of the news of the 2nd lockdown. Boris was all fired up to find the culprit and since then it has gone very quiet on that front.

But why wasn't he sacked when he went Barnard Castle? Why was he allowed to give a press conference? To what end? 7 months. Imagine if Corbyn had won the election and Seamus Milne had been allowed to give such a press conference? There would have been a revolution.
Anyway Boris to go next - some time early next year? Lets have Rishi as PM, and Hunt to replace Gove please. Look it ain't perfect, but there maybe the tacky veneer of competence instead. And I like neither Sunak nor Hunt, but I believe they could handle the current situation better than Johnson/Gove.
