Rishi as PM does seem a positive step. Providing Boris takes Priti and Gove with him.

When Sunak and Hunt are seen as acceptable, the world is officially fucked. None of that lot are acceptable to me. The only even semi-respectable Tories were all kicked out last year. |

We got them in power for four more years, it's like the least worst.

Fozzy - Corbyn condemned us when he accepted the election invitation nearly a year ago. 80- seat majority means they are nigh on untouchable. Sunak and Hunt are the best of an incredibly poor selection of intellectual pygmies (Gove, Patel, Williamson, Hancock, Raab, Truss, Eustice, Jenrick). My wife said when you breathe a sigh of relief that Michael Green, sorry Grant Shapps is on TV, that's how bad it is. They have purged anyone half decent Grieve, Boles, Gauke, and Stewart (and his voting record matches Gove's, so just coz he talks compassionate conservatism, doesn't mean he is one). But I just cannot stand Johnson's lies anymore. His pathetic, bloated, 1000 yard stare, his endless procession of fatherless children and groupies (now turned out and out Trumpster in one case). I'd rather have Sunak's faux Blairisms any day.

So, are Cummings and the other vote leave guy leaving because of a 'softer' deal with the EU?

We can only hope Bob. And even then it's going to be a shit deal. Chris - oh yes, Corbyn/Milne/Murphy etc have a big share of blame too. |

Marcus Brigstocke's gentle satire on how Trump's post election press briefing might have ended up taking place on the car park of a landscaping company. A refreshing antidote to the brimstone and bile doing the rounds over the pond. 15 mins. bbc.co.uk |
