Touche.
What people don't see a lot of (I do as she is my local MP), is that she does get around the constituency a lot and really works hard for the area.
And, no not just when electioneering.
But that isn't sexy news, so never gets reported.

Diane Abbott and Priti Patel partnership?
We could have six million coppers for a fiver - all of which will kick your head in?

Stander, what you have just written about Patel you could have written about Abbot. I wish I could say about my local Tory, he is invisible.

Priti Patel, Truss, Leadsom, Raab C Brexit, Duncan-Shitbag, Mark "Scrappy-Doo" Francois, Jacob Rees-Mogg, and not least the blonde idiot himself.
Yes, the Tory Party is stuffed with political talent and I'm sure they will steadily navigate the nation through the challenging years ahead, whilst uniting it in ways we haven't seen since 1940.
Or possibly their majority will magnify their arrogance, lies and corruption to the point where it passes the Stupidity Event Horizon completely and their fall will be precipitous as a result.
I still can't believe that so many people have fallen for the con. Not only have they fallen for it, but when it finally sinks in that Brexit IS a con, they will still think it was a good deal. Really, con-men dream of having such easy marks...
“How can wealth persuade poverty to use its political freedom to keep wealth in power? Here lies the whole art of Conservative politics in the 20th century.”
And in the 21st century as well...

Yes, JB, Johnson has an incredibly unimpressive front bench, mainly chosen because they were the only people either stupid enough or unprincipled enough to be gung ho about 'No Deal', not because they actually had any ability.
We have talked about Labour leaders here, but something which hasn't been mentioned about when Blair came to power was what a strong set of political performers he had alongside him - Gordon Brown, Robin Cook, Jack Straw, among others. They were giants beside the equivalents Major had. Labour need to get a good leader but they also need to fill the main shadow cabinet posts with big hitters.

Plenty of big hitters who could hold their Tory counterparts massively to the fire for 5 years.....but RLB will only be picking from the Corbyn-cult sect, and thus they won;t get the chance....

Diane Abbott got a degree from Cambridge University in the early 1970s and I don't think there were many other daughters of Jamaican welders there back then. She's smarter than most of us, for sure, in spite of sometimes saying stupid stuff. I tend to assume that people who make comments about her being thick are either racist, or at the very least prone to a severe case of unconscious bias.

Or of judging a book by it's cover. A far too common trait!
