Just got back on.

The answer to HappyG's question from several pages ago is Nic Dakin.

That is all I can contribute right now. I'm looking at flights to Chicago ;-)

For clarity I meant a Tory majority of 48-52 seats! Thanks for sidebar fetch!

Just voted, my urban / student seat seemed busier than usual although it’s post work / lectures time I guess.

My constituency is a fairly strong SNP hold most recently with a 9.15% majority, 42% leave vote..
I would imagine SNP safe seat.
Whereas my childhood area of Stirling has chopped and changed being Laboiry, SNP and currently Conservative with something like 150 vote majority so more key battleground.

I'm sticking with my range from -10 Tory maj to +40 with a most likely value of about +15-20.

This is probabilities we're dealing with, so exact values have no meaning....

Is there actually nobody in this thread actually looking for a Tory majority?

Or have they all been chased off?

I think the theory is that tories are consistently so and always vote , so if turnout goes up it's likely to be 'floating' voters picking a side for once and therfore less likely to be tory, because honestly if it's not part of your tribal identity why the fuck would you vote for those venal self serving excuses for humanity?

Ooops, did my neutral civil servant mask slip?

Why would anyone want to inflict a tory majority on the country with the attitude to the most vulnerable in society?

People have different values fozzy - some people believe that freedom is more important than a safety net for example.

Name-calling will be called out, and Ad hominem will be frowned upon. :-) And whatabout-ery sits somewhere above responding to tone and below contradiction.
