Larkim, I think that there is no little agreement amongst MP's that I doubt any agreement on anything can be agreed.
My fear is though is that VONC fails, no GE triggered and Labour continually refuse to trigger a GE. More and more postponements called for and a government that can't govern has to limp on being able to do nothing until the full 5 years is up.
That would be far more damaging to the economy.

Isn't the trouble still that if a 'government of national unity' requests (and gets) an extension in order to hold a general election, that Boris Johnson would then win that election and take us out without a deal? All the opinion polls are suggesting a big lead for the Tories at the moment (which is a staggering indictment of Labour, tbh), and they would really be able to play the 'people vs establishment' card after this.

A government doesn't need to "limp on" if its policies have the backing of a majority of the house, though.
A Conservative minority administration governing in the interests of the people rather than hedge fund managers and toothsome blondes would still be able to get laws passed.
Just not necessarily the ones the hedge fund managers and toothsome blondes want passing.

Anyway we were told the prorogation was nothing to do with Brexit anyway - it was merely enabling the Queens Speech to get through, it was a normal delay right, only 4 extra days of business lost... If so , why are people so upset it didn't get through??

As I keep on pointing out Boris is unlikely to win an election.
He will lose Scotland.
He will lose seats in London.
There are not many Labour - Conservative marginals.
There are plenty of Lib Dem - Conservative marginals.
Even if Labour lose 30-40 seats (as is more than likely), Parliament will most likely be hung.
The bigger the amount of seats the Lib Dems gain the more hung Parliament will be.
The Tories is hope that - Labour desert en masses in Northern safe seats (they didn't in Peterborough byelection) and the Lib Dem surge fails to occur. This is possible, but currently not the most probable (according to constituency polls).

Labour have repeatedly said they want a GE as soon as the extension is agreed

Parliament back tomorrow.
And so the fucking circus show continues.
Doesn't matter which side of the divide you are on, all this shit is just alienating the ruling elite even more from the voting public. That's where the riots come from (Poll tax anyone?)

JDA - likelihood is that the extension that leads to a GE gives up another hung parliament and resolves nothing.

Actually it shows to me that the ruling "elite" are actually doing something.
