Shared husband and wife email accounts are great too. Thanks guys, I have no idea which one of you is emailing.

We had one on Saturday evening, Subject line - I'd like to volunteer - Barcode AXXXXXX, content of email was simply the runners name.
Thanks for volunteering but we need a bit more of a clue!

Question for core team members: has anyone had their parkrun facebook page removed for odd reasons? Ours has just been suspended for allegedly impersonating a brand and I have no idea what to do about it!

We haven't personally seen this before but the ED forum on Facebook has a couple of posts about it. I can't remember the exact advice but I get report to HQ and they will fix it.

It happens. You need to appeal to Facebook and email event support to let them know.
ES can't do anything as Facebook need to get round to reviewing things, but it will eventually be restored.
Social Media is a lovely to have, but remember that the event web page (via Wordpress) is the only "official" channel that every event has and most people can access.

Thank you both. I have appealed already but the page is suspended regardless.

It might take some time for the appeal to be dealt with, I'm afraid.

About a year or two ago it happened to my local event and they set up a different page, but the original one came back in 1-2 days. Another page I follow went down and didn't return for about 3 months.

One of the Edinburgh area pages has been suspended for weeks despite a swift appeal. The advice is to be patient.
