How do I get a barcode onto my phone? If you use GooglePay you can add it as a loyalty card. I presume Apple Wallet can do similar? |

If anyone presents a "scratty piece of paper" to me they don't get it back.

I've had people deliberately steal event equipment because I wouldn't scan their phone. Wow I’ve had some abuse over not scanning from phones, but never encountered anything like that! What did they steal, out of interest? |

What did they steal, out of interest? To be fair, she only refused to hand back her finish token. Put it in her pocket, and when I asked for it back, she replied "No, I'm keeping it, actually." |

The Google Pay app will generate your barcode and has "parkrun" as a recognised loyalty card, although with no logos. You can add multiple codes for family members, but there is no way to tag or label them to easily identify who's who. The Stocard app on android does basically the same thing, but does let you label the barcodes so you know which kids code to use if that is required. |

I use PassWallet to store boarding passes, and it also handles barcodes and other similar stuff, as well as Apple Passbook passes. There is a dedicated Garmin app which runs alongside it which I have paid a few quid to unlock and then displays all these passes and such-like on the screen of your Garmin. So now, for travel, I've got Garmin Pay and Passbook and my wallet and stuff can stay safely zipped away most of this time... |

Would be useful to be able to store the event QR code in Apple wallet too.

I have it saved as a favourite photo, and also printed and laminated - just thinking it would be neat to have it in wallet too. parkrun really need to do something to make the FMS system mobile friendly.
