I had to decide not to put the route marker down today and hope the first runner was not a visitor and knew the way. Wind was brutal.

Sad story TR - but sounds like a positive and appropriate response
V/rap - glad it went well in Keswick - sorry I couldn't be there
DT - great job, but I have to wonder - what have you been doing up to now?
Eventful morning at Fell Foot today - we had a runner slip, fall and cut his head quite badly (sent to A&E with his wife after he'd been patched up by our team and I'd relieved said wife of her marshaling role) and a report of a back marker throwing an elbow at somebody lapping them in one of the tight spots. Seems that, as RD next week, I have some reminders to issue.

Still 214 finishers at Crosby parkrun this a.m. in spite of strong SW winds gusting to 30mph.

Crosby started 3 yrs ago at 120-130 but since the New Year, over 200 every week. There's nothing quite like coastal weather, as you'll know!

I can report that indeed PK, there were puddles. And then there were PUDDLES. And wind. But Eglinton is a pleasant course with no overtaking which is always a bonus.
