Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Took me ages to find Strabane on the website. Cant help think the naming of new parkruns is going to cause problems further down the line - there are 100s of other Holy Cross across the UK.

That's me. And my OH, and my two youngest kids, and SO MANY of my friends. And Louiseruns (wrongly captioned as Fiona Kennedy).

I'm on the bench at the start, too, as it was my 50th birthday weekend :) What a lovely video. heart my parkrun.

Lol. I thought that looked like Louiseruns, but I'm notoriously bad with faces!

TR, I love Druridge, such a stunning course. And then Blyth is there for if you want a fast course (unless theres any wind).

Don't really understand why the naming of an event would cause any more problems now than in the past. It seems more logical now, those local to the area will know where the venue is. Naming convention following the council/borough name as in the past is more likely to confuse - eg Greenwich. Bromley. Bexley. Orpington. Dartford - none of which give an idea ( even to locals ) where they are located within the borough.

Maidstone being a case in point.

If you'd asked me to guess where to go to do Maidstone parkrun, there's no way I'd have suggested Allington Lock/Kent Life/The Malta.

But what would you have called it nowadays...?
