Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

It's a fun story. BBC does "human interest" not just "serious news", remember. A pal of ours in our running club is a BBC reporter. She writes some hilarious stuff, esp about running. :-) G

One of our core volunteers did set up at Prospect, cycled to Reading for Barcode Scanning and then onto Woodley for Token Sorting last week, just because he realised it could be done! :-)

I think he might have been mentioned in the Free Weekly Timed podcast Goofee. Great that there are so many parkruns that that kind of thing is possible. I couldn't drive to my next closest parkrun in the time it would take for me to run it.

Just in case anyone else is waiting for ProDirect to send on t-shirts which were in the most recent backlog, I got the following (after I emailed them) today:-

"I can confirm that the stock has arrived, however, we have encountered an issue whilst trying to capture the postage payments. Unfortunately we are finding payments have expired and unable to be captured, and as such this is holding up the tees. We are working on trying to find a way around this, and we do expect to be in touch with you in relation to this, very very soon. "

It sounds like they are sitting their twiddling their thumbs wondering when a solution will fly out of mid-air and land on their desk!

I had exactly this. I chased and then got told of the issue. I then hassled daily before getting a dispatch after about 5 days. I've got my 250 now <3

I got the same email today about my daughter's 10 shirt. If the just put that up on the website somewhere, they could save themselved a lot of time answering emails (even if it is just a cut and paste job).
