Avery Hill a rough area??? Really??? Not sure which part you went to, it is one of the leafier almost gentrified districts in SE London and have I never encountered any problems running in or around the park. As with all things though, I guess it is just an N=1 Opinion. As to the parkrun, it is one of the best in the area in terms of less crowding, nice cafe, good route and friendly atmosphere ( another N=1 opinion ).

I've just looked at Avery Hill. It's pretty much Falconwood/Welling/Shooter's Hll.

That's the bit of Kent that I most object to calling itself Kent, but I'd rather be there than Gillingham.

Unless that part of South East London has seriously gone downhill in the last 20 years...

Cheers snayak. Is it tarmac? Not sure about the 25 minute walk from Seven Sisters.

Now, I know my boy would absolutely *love* Mile End, but I'll save that one for him until I get my cow cowl ;-)
