Last year, we were writing positions and barcodes out on `Please stop here santa' signs - so i wanted to avoid that again. We had 190 on Saturday, which is big for us. Only gone over 200 5 times, and that includes two Jan 1 runs, our inaugural and 1st birthday |

I haven't been to my home parkrun for 6 weeks now or any parkrun since the 17th December. May be going for a jog on Saturday. Was very strange doing no Christmas or New Year events given over most years I have probably been an organiser |

I haven't run a parkrun anywhere since July. Tried out lots of (well, eight) different volunteering roles though.

I much prefer to volunteer but I'm trying a more quality based approach to training for Comrades this year and will do parkruns more often. I've only done 20 in 6 years, versus over 100 timekeeping, and normally only run them as a tourist but this weekend was the first I've run in Leicester since August 2014.

Shock horror, change at Bracknell Parkrun tomorrow. New 2 lap course Think it is to avoid some of the muddier sections. *predicts change-induced chaos* |

not correct. Course altered to take into account impending demolition/rebuild of pavilion. |

Just so you know - Milton Keynes parkrun at Willen Lake will be changing it's course very soon, maybe only two more on the current course. There will be lots of work being done to develop the lakeside site including more parking, a splash zone etc willenlake.org.uk

Sub zero and feeling a lot colder, Zorba. Not necessarily a problem in itself but ... you may recall that coming back into the park past the golf course there was a section of path in very poor condition. There was a crowdfunding initiative to resurface it which went well and once the money was raised, lovely new tarmac was put down in jig time (around a month ago). However, as soon as I hit it I though "this will be absolutely impossible if it is icy". So, if there's any significant precipitation today or overnight, I very much doubt it will be on and it may be a cancellation on the day. |
