got the bus over to my local parkrun & ran with my Autistic son who loved high fiving the volunteers as we ran got back to the bus stop a minute late but the bus was 2 mins late - perfect timing.

Owen was 5th in his age cat (I was DFL but we both broke 45 mins) & tomorrow he steps up a cat - he loves his parkrun :)

My first one was 5th June 2010 - at MK 6 days after Comrades, i came 12th out of 88 - 656 finishers is now the record how times change - today was number 99.

Marshaling today and one woman had a go at us for encouraging her as it put her off! :D

Anyway, chuffed to bits to see a Great White Egret near the start finish line.

I think my first parkrun was the same as YP - Leeds in Dec 07. Then didn't do another until Newcastle Christmas day 2010. Almost at my 10th anniversary and on 160 - bulk of those have been since Harrogate started and had a local event. I'm probably at close to 250 attendances when you add in volunteering.

Highbury Fields was surprisingly trickier than I thought - felt like a hill rep session. The uphill seemed easy the first lap - by the 6th & final time we ran up it it felt like a mountain! Lovely & sunny whilst running but looked like a drowned rat post CD run back to hotel when we had a torrential downpour.

Jovi, I obviously wasn't paying attention when I ran it, as I didn't notice any uphill, but after your comment I've just looked at my profile for that run and clearly you're right - that would explain why it felt tougher than I thought it would be!

Good RD-ing mrss.

Good spooky finishing, LG :)

We had second highest attendance today, 232. The local MP was there. He hijacked the show somewhat.

Some lovely parkrunning on here, especially mini-Foxy. :) And a great pic, bonners.

We had our local MSP and she was very nice, only said a few words and was excited about running her first parkrun and she was 2nd lady.

Linds what was your MP up to? Did he go on a bit?
