Is Dreiländergarten at the corner of 3 countries, like near Chamonix or something Big_G? Sounds wonderful! G

Happy G, yes, that’s right. It’s in Germany, but very close to Switzerland and France. We stayed in Basel, 20mins drive away. Loads of parkrun tourists there, not just Brits, even though it’s a small event - 31 of the 44 finishers were first timers at that event. When the RD did the intros he actually asked who was local rather than who was a tourist, as it was easier, and only 3 people put their hand up. Apparently people travel there to do a run that takes in all 3 countries. It’s a really nice event.

To clarify, the parkrun event doesn’t take in all 3 countries. But apparently runners travel to that area to do a separate run that takes in all 3 countries.
The RD said he is hoping to set one up in Strasbourg, Germany, which will start in Germany, go into France, and back into Strasbourg. This is apparently allowed, even though French parkruns are currently not running.

Yeah, I am aware I did actually check this with the local RD, and that is how he described it. Regardless, he is hoping to start one in Germany, that goes into France, and back to Germany.
